Dear Players,

It is that time of the year where we have to prepare for the upcoming 2024/25 WGEBL season.

The 2024/25 WGEBL Annual General Meeting (AGM) will be held at the Nar Nar Goon Hotel on Thursday the 5^th September with a 7.30pm Start.

1. The first Agenda item at every AGM is to complete a roll call of all team representatives in attendance. We MUST have ALL Committee Members and at least One Player from every Team who wants to participate in the 2024/25 season present. If a representative does not attend on behalf of your team then your team will not be eligible to play the 2024/25 season as per the League’s constitution.
2. The Executive Committee need to know all teams that wish to participate in the 2024/25 season as soon as possible. Can the current Captain for each team please email back confirming they plan to field a team and if anyone knows of any potential new teams to the League please also email back advising so and the venue they want to play from? Any proposed new teams need to have a Representative at the AGM and produce a letter to the Executive committee agreeing to all playing terms and conditions of the WGEBL prior to the AGM which needs to be signed by both the venue owner/manager and a representative of the new team.

3. Part of the AGM is to vote in your new Executive Committee for the 2024/25 season. All existing positions will be vacated and new nominations accepted for all positions. (President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer and Administrator). We currently have a vacant position and will have more so this is your opportunity to put yourself forward and help grow and improve the League you choose to play in. Our Constitution gives a brief explanation of what the “Office Bearers” (Executive Committee) responsibilities are. 4. The AGM is also the opportunity for all members of the league to put forward any proposals they believe can improve our league. You need to put in a formal proposal in writing to the League at least 7 Days prior to the AGM. I have attached a letter I have prepared suggesting a couple of proposed changes which I will tighten the current By-Laws. If you have any suggestions for changes to our By-Laws please ensure you put it in writing like I have and email your proposal to myself at least 7 days prior to the AGM. No changes to the WGEBL Constitution, By-Laws or Ranking points can occur if not presented in writing at least 7 days prior to the AGM.

So Teams can start to prepare for the season I have attached the updated Player Rankings for 2024/2025 season along with the Team & Player Registration Forms which you can complete in preparation for the AGM. All this information is also available on the WGEBL website.
